Description of the mushroom
White birch fungus grows in deciduous forests from early summer to late autumn. Often the mushroom can be found next to birches. Spores are olive brown.
The birch porcini cap has a smooth leathery surface with a slight bulge. The color of the hat is light brown.
The edges of the cap are even, in young mushrooms they are slightly tucked up. The lower part of the cap has a tubular surface. In young - fawn, in older adults - yellowish.
The leg of the birch white fungus has a club-shaped shape. In its upper part it is colored more intensively.
The pulp is dense, white. Has a pleasant smell. Does not change color when cut.
White birch fungus is edible.
